Description

Cholinergic compound (DMAE bonded to a chlorophenoxyacetate carrier) studied for cognitive aging and lipofuscin clearance. Best-known for animal studies showing reduction of age-pigment lipofuscin in neurons and modest lifespan extension in mice. Human evidence is decades-old and methodologically limited.

Safety & interactions

Old literature reports occasional GI upset, headache, insomnia. Not approved as a supplement in many jurisdictions. Avoid in seizure disorders.
